Norris Middle School Athletics Information

Mission Statement:

Norris Middle School Athletics will promote the success of student-athletes by creating a competitive and positive environment where all student-athletes will develop work ethic, competitive spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship.
 

 

Athletic Event Times & Admission:
Families and Athletic Spectators - The start time for all OPS Middle School Athletic Events are 3:30 pm. We ask that all parents, families, and friends support their athlete from the bleacher area reserved for spectators. The cost of admission for OPS Middle School contests is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for school aged children. OPS Sponsored Tournaments are $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for school aged children. Thank you for your support for Redbird Athletics.

Practice Times:
Practice runs daily from 3:15 P.M. -  5:00 P.M  Only students who ride OPS transportation to and from school have access to the Late Activity Bus that departs at 5:15 P.M.

Information




All athletes must have the following prerequisites on file with the school in order to participate in athletics:

1. PROOF OF INSURANCE/ACTIVITY CONTRACT (Parents may elect to take out insurance coverage through the school for only $14)

2. CURRENT PHYSICAL (Middle school students will be allowed to participate with a sports physical done in the spring of the previous year, on or after March 15th.)

3. ACTIVITY CARD (The $15 cost may be waived for students on free or reduced lunch.)
